When you think of Asians, what comes to mind? The computer geek? The permanent virgin? The tentacle festishist? And even though this describes our cast with uncanny accuracy, we are so much more than that. For example, we’re also capable of getting off on shellfish.

So . . . what to do? By seizing the means of production, ShiggyTV is a YouTube Channel where Asians take center stage.

Every group has one person who gets more credit than he deserves. In our case, it’s Tetsuro. He’s the jackass descendant of both Samurai and a royal descendant of the Japanese Chrysanthemum throne. If this impresses you, than you’re an even bigger Jackass than he is.

Rebecca broke the mould.  By break, we mean “did not meet.”  And by mould, we mean, “parental expectations.”  The classic asian overachiever with an undersatisfied streak, she’s constantly taking out her freakout on the lazier, slower, Tetsuro.  Her resolve to not turn into her mother is slowly fading.

Haruka Sakaguchi

When Haruka isn’t at her local coffeeshop trying to study econ for a midterm, she dons a cape and mask and patrols the streets at night, shining a (camera) light into all the dark secrets of Vancouver’s underbelly. Haruka is also known for her Californian accent, which has been perfected over decades of living in the Valley. Nihongo is her first language. And she doesn’t only date white guys. Brown guys too.

Ray Hsu

Is there a Doctor in the house? You betcha!!Dr. Ray Hsu, has a PhD in Awesomeness from the U of Wisconsin. He teaches classes in how to be Awesome, and he’s the Godfather of ShiggyTV. Check Ray out at the TheWayofRay.com.
